The people get a new house and I have to stay in the same old stall

Howdy blog followers,

As the title suggests Jellybean is a feeling a bit left out of the hoopla.  We just moved into a cute little house and the pony has taken a back seat since the weekend move.  We did however give her stall a good cleaning and added some fresh shavings.  Hopefully she will not be too upset with us when we get back to working her later this week.

Oh!  She also asked for her stall fans to be adjusted to blow more directly on her when she lays down to sleep.  Rather than have her kick and bite at me I accommodated these wishes of the princess horse.

I am sure Amanda will entertain you with more stories soon.

OMG!!!!! Dentists, Riding Bareback, AND a saddle ride?

(How I hear Jellybean complaining to Cash)

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!?!

Those people are soooooo, like, mean!   They had those mean old vets come out and hurt my mouth, shoot me full of drugs against my will and then...  THEY RIDE ME!   What are they thinking?  The indignity!  I am not a riding pony!  I am a princess pony.  I eat when I want to. I sleep when I want to.  Gah!  So embarrassing.

Did you see it Cash?  They took me out to the round pen on Tuesday and tricked me.  We walked around for a while and then that lady I like made me trot and canter and walk.  I think I am starting to understand what she says but, its still people speak and its soooooo complicated.  Why can't she just neigh?  

Then the unthinkable happened.  That big old meat head of a boyfriend tricked me.  He got me over next to the nice lady people and held me there while she sat on me!  She actually SAT on me Cash!  Robert led me around the pen to shame me even more.  what a jerk.   Then they did it all again from the other side.  Just awful.

Wednesday night Robert wasn't there so Amanda got Jeannette to lead me around while she sat on my back.  What is this they are doing?  

Thursday was the worst!  Robert was back and Amanda wanted to shame me even more!   this time she put that smelly pad and heavy leather thing on me first.   Then they did that same tricky move and Amanda sat on me again.  I tried to be really good so they won't make me do it again.  Cash, do you think they'll make me do it again????   You are my boyfriend horse, you'll stop them right? 

I can haz hay?????

Jellybean and I had some quality time together tonight.  We had treats and grain and hay! She even let me in her stall while she ate to pet and love on her.  We did have an ear pinning event but, it turns out horses get friendlier if you push them around a bit.  She finally accepted the inevitable and let me pet her. After she ate her grain I went and worked on our poor broken cavaletti.  The wood had split on one leg of each cavaletti so I had to splice the two together.  It worked out very nicely.  All told a good day at the barn.  I threw jellybean her two flakes of nice fresh cut hay and took some pictures.

Guest Post: Jellybean (The Penicillin Chronicles)

     Whew. What a crazy weekend! The people left on Saturday morning without even saying bye... something about massages or birthdays. Peanut Butter and I played chicken through the wire, but otherwise just hung out in the stall all day. Mr. Juan fed us that night and the next morning since the people were still gone. 
     I was excited when the people came back Sunday, what a mistake!! Amanda got me out of the stall and brushed me, which was fine, but then she and Mr. Juan started petting me. I felt a sting in my neck, but it was just a fly and I kept eating treats from Amanda. Then Mr. Juan came up on my right side... I don't like how his hands were purple. And he smelled funny!! I was almost ok with it, but Amanda was teasing me with a treat. I finally got the treat and bit down, but it didn't crunch like it normally does. Then I felt another sting and moved away from it!
     Jeez. Then I saw this big pointy thing coming at my neck!! I tried to run away again, but I was tied. Amanda untied me and then something was buzzing around my leg. It was a bee!! I was trying to kick at it, and Robert came up to me and tried to spray some horse killer spray on my legs!!! What was going on?! He kept trying to spray me with that stuff while I was trying to kick the bee, so I kicked the spray and knocked it out of his hand. I still like him, I hope he isn't too mad at me for kicking near him. 
     The bee wouldn't go away, so Amanda walked me around more until it finally pulled away. Then we walked over beside the barn. Mr. Juan came up to me with scary smelling purple hands again!!! I almost ran Amanda over when he scared me, but she reminded me that I shouldn't do that. We went to the round pen and I ran around in the mud for a few minutes and started playing with the other horses.
     I thought we would just have dinner then, but Amanda brought me back over to Mr. Juan again! I was worried he was going to stick me with those awful gloves again, but he just petted me. Ok. Maybe the gloves aren't so scary! And here comes Robert with more treats! Yay apple treats! Ow! Stupid bee is back at my neck. Treats, treats, treats. 
     

     So that was yesterday, and what a mess! Today I feel a little bit better, and my nose isn't running and goopy. Now if only dinner time would get here I can hopefully sneak out to play!
